Blog: This Thanksgiving, WTP Is Thankful For The USA

“America is the worst!”

“I’m ashamed to be an American.”

“I’m moving to Canada!”

Unfortunately, we’ve all heard these phrases bantered about in our daily lives. In a nation where our football players take a knee and schools are teaching kids to hate America, patriotism is on the way out.

It’s trendy to be anti-American, but We The People believes it’s more important to be patriotic today than it ever has been. As we work to heal the political divide that has eroded our society, we need to recognize, preserve, and celebrate our country’s strengths.

The United States and the freedoms that have shaped it are something to be proud of. When we look around the world stage at countries where people are jailed for insults a 12-year-old could come up with, Christian gatherings are illegal, or internet access is cut off to stifle protests and shut down free speech, we are truly thankful to live in a country where our rights are safeguarded by our Constitution.

We hope you will join us in reflecting on the unique liberties that we enjoy in America as we celebrate Thanksgiving this week. For our part, We The People is grateful for the United States this year and every year.

From all of us at We The People, thank you to each and every one of you. We are thankful for your support and for everything you do to stand up for America. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
