Civium in moribus rei publicae salus.
“The welfare of the state rests on the character of the people.”
Every American mom or dad understands this saying intuitively, and cares deeply about the kind of education their children will receive about what it means to be an American, to love America, and to fight for America.
America is only as strong as the character of its people. How we educate our children will shape the character of our nation’s citizens and future leaders.
Which is why the battle to get critical race theory and other forms of false, race-obsessed, anti-American propaganda out of our public schools is so important.
Something big is happening in America right now.
Parents and taxpayers have seen what liberal elites are doing to our children and our local schools, and they have had enough.
Parents across the country have seen unions and politicians keep children out of schools for more than a year. The selfish, anti-science “adults” in the liberal elite have forced children to endure crippling isolation, denied them a year of connection with their friends, and failed to make sure kids get the education they deserve.
And while fighting back against school closures, parents discovered just how much our K-12 education has been poisoned by anti-American, race-obsessed and psychologically abusive indoctrination which goes by many names, but is probably best known as “critical race theory”.
The forces of anti-American indoctrination are now gaslighting us, claiming “critical race theory” isn’t taught in our schools. But the evidence is out there, and parents aren’t crazy to believe what is happening right in front of them:
Buffalo Public Schools teaches students that “all white people” perpetuate systemic racism and forces kindergarteners to watch a video of dead black children warning them about “racist police and state-sanctioned violence” who might kill them at any time.
North Carolina’s largest school district launches a campaign against “whiteness in educational spaces”—and encourages teachers to subvert families and push the ideology of “antiracism” directly onto students without parental consent.
A Cupertino, California, elementary school forces third-graders to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities, then rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.” They separate the eight-year-old children into oppressors and oppressed.
Parents and their neighbors are seeing all of this and they’re not taking it anymore.
And parents aren’t just fighting back in the most conservative parts of the country.
Parents are standing up and fighting back in liberal places like Loudoun County, Virginia – a county that Donald Trump lost by more than 20% in 2016 and 2020.
Parents came together and defeated critical race theory supporters on the School Board in Southlake, Texas in Tarrant County, a battleground county that Donald Trump lost in 2020.
And in the free state of Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis led the fight to stop anti-American indoctrination in public schools, signing not just a bill passed by the Legislature but convincing the state’s Board of Education to pass a tough rule against critical race theory while promoting civics and truthful American history lessons.
At We the People, we believe that schools should teach children the truth about American history – not indoctrinate them with false and toxic propaganda like the 1619 Project or other programs based in concepts like critical race theory.
We know that America is not perfect, because no country is.
But it is our country, and we should be proud of our country because we have done many things that are worth being proud of.
We are the strongest and most powerful democratic nation that has ever existed in human history.
We are the first nation that was built on the notion that human beings have certain, unalienable rights that the government cannot give or take away – because those rights are “endowed by [our] Creator”.
We fell short of living up to those principles – with devastating results that we still struggle with today. But time and again, Americans of every race, partisan label and creed came together to do what was necessary to right those wrongs, and make right what had been done wrong.
We believe that our country is something worth being proud of, and worth fighting for. Elitists want to teach our children that it is not, and instead indoctrinate them with false, anti-American and sometimes even abusive ideology.
Something big is happening in America, because parents and their neighbors recognize what these elites want to do to our children. And they’re joining forces to do something about it. And that’s a good thing.
Do you agree that “the welfare of the state depends on the character of its people”?
If you do, you’ve come to the right place.
We the People is in the fight against the liberal elites who hate what makes America special, and we stand with our fellow Americans who defend our nation and its values from elitist attacks.
